About AfriHack

AfriHack is an annual initiative aimed at uplifting young local, continental, and global tech students. In 2026, Empiras is thrilled to present the third edition of AfriHack.

The hackathon series is designed to engage technology students from all regions of South Africa in addressing authentic business challenges, while simultaneously fostering collaboration and innovation among participants. We also extend an invitation to both African and international universities to partake in this initiative, with the aim of nurturing a culturally and professionally diverse environment.
